It features a ready light that indicates when calibration is complete and the tool is ready for use. The edge arrow illuminates when the edge of the stud is located. Zircon's patented over stud feature alerts if the scan begins over the stud. The spotlight pointer shines an arrow-shaped image on the scanned surface to clearly indicate the edge of the stud. The "V" marker groove enables accurate marking of the stud edge location. It has an ergonomic grip for a secure hold in either hand at any angle. It uses a 9V battery (not included). This nonmagnetic tool measures wall density and works on sheet rock, wood, and plaster. It also includes a picture hanging kit for your convenience.
